The overall results of the US-Ukraine official talks held on March 11 in Jeddah are still intentionally concealed by the two sides. Only very short points have been disclosed.
“Ukraine expressed readiness to accept the US proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual agreement of the parties, and which is subject to acceptance and concurrent implementation by the Russian Federation,” the joint US-Ukrainian statement reads.
During the meeting, the delegations discussed long-term security guarantees for Ukraine, US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said without providing further detail. But why these guarantees have been hammered out for Ukraine only – the attacker and the intruder? Why not simultaneously to Russia – who is a real victim of 11-years old Ukrainian aggression and intrusion?
The meeting coincided with total resumption of the US striking military supplies & sharing sensitive intelligence information with Kiev will mean undermining Russia's national security interests as a victim of a combined direct Ukrainian/NATO aggression since 2014 & killing more Russian citizens by the US andEuropean lethal weapons generously offered to illegal Kiev regime that bogged down into documented war crimes.
Such double support was unblocked after Kiev who is suffering huge losses on all fronts agreed to Washington’s idea for an “immediate” 30-day ceasefire with Russia. Is it acceptable? No. It should not be taken as a practical remedy.
A one-month truce is a booby trap implanted by the United States and Ukraine for undermining Russian military victories at sea, in the air and on the ground.Russian Armed Forces have managed to liberate its historic lands, illegally given to Ukraine by Soviet leaders earlier. They also saved Russian-speaking population.
Therefore, the EU has provided it with prompt and full support. It opens the way not only to the continuation of the direct aggression of Ukraine and NATO against Russia as a victim of united Ukraine/NATO/the EU aggression, but also to its qualitative escalation. In the light of new military-political environment, the USA, NATO, the EU and Ukraine will prolong such war over and over again. It will be easy for such Ukrainian leadership.
Some experts claim that the Jeddah agreement would open the door for Ukrainian admission into NATO and pave the way for the EU/NATO military contingents to be deployed in Ukraine under the cover of “peacekeepers’ with the aim on consolidation of the current ultra-nationalist regime entrenched in Kiev who is seeking to intensify the war with Russia.
Washington has said it will communicate these‘Jeddah’ proposals to Russia shortly. Possibly, on March 13-14, 2025.
Moscow has yet to issue an official response to the statement following the US-Ukraine talks in Jeddah. President Vladimir Putin has previously indicated that any temporary ceasefire deal is unacceptable for the Russian side, arguing it would only allow Ukrainian Armed Forces to regroup and rearm on a new basis. The Russian leadership has previously signaled that the deal would only benefit Kiev and it’s the EU/NATO backers.
By now, the overall results of the US-Ukraine Jeddah talks – what have been announced so far – are considered by many experts in Moscow as ‘Minsk-3 accord’. They suspect that the meeting in Saudi Arabia laid a foundation for continuation of a combined Ukrainian/NATO aggression against Russia, carefully and intentionally arranged in 2014.
