Боевое самбо – российская система спортивного и духовного воспитания с тысячелетней историей, школа искусства поединка, наиболее эффективный вид подготовки к военной и правоохранительной деятельности, всемирно признанный вид спорта, объединивший лучшие достижения нашей многонациональной и мировой культуры в области единоборств.
Как русская матрёшка, система самообороны и борьбы содержит в себе: специальный раздел (Суворовская наука побеждать - наше главное богатство!) - около 60 % от количества технических действий системы А.А. Харлампиева, боевое самбо (с разделом "борьба") – 40 % и борьба самбо – 8 %.
Федерация боевого самбо России (далее – ФБСР) в условиях жёсткой конкуренции сохранила и развивает боевое самбо как национальное боевое искусство (суворовская наука побеждать), массовый вид спорта с начала перестройки (1985), создавая клубы и школы боевого самбо в ответ на угрозу национальной идентичности и суверенитету. Её спортсмены: Олег Тактаров, Фёдор Емельяненко, Алексей Олейник, Ислам Махачев, Хабиб Нурмагомедов и др. уверенно побеждают в престижнейших поединках. За многие годы мы убедились, что боевое самбо – вид спорта близкий по духу, философии и идеологии большинству россиян.
Созданы Правила соревнований и научно-методическая база: изданы 18 книг общим тиражом более 2,5 млн экз. на многих языках мира. Наиболее популярные - "Боевое самбо для всех" (1991) и "Энциклопедия боевого самбо" (1993). Сняты 14 учебных и 69 информационных фильмов. Энтузиастами открыты тысячи Клубов боевого самбо (combat sambo), которые стали центрами российской культуры в большинстве стран мира. Всемирная федерации боевого самбо (World Combat Sambo Federation – WCSF), ежегодно проводит более 10 тысяч соревнований. 22.12.2024 завершился 30-й Чемпионат мира.
На фото 1995 года видно, что Первый Чемпионат мира прошёл под лозунгом: "Боевое самбо – спорт XXI-го века!".
Нашими учёными и методистами в тесном сотрудничестве с тренерско-преподавательским составом высших учебных заведений силовых структур и научной элитой физкультурных ВУЗов разработаны и успешно практикуются методики подготовки бойцов спецназа, пограничников, полицейских, инкассаторов, телохранителей и других контингентов негосударственной сферы безопасности, основанные на и их личном боевом опыте. Неоценимый вклад в развитие боевого самбо внёс Почётный президент ФБСР, Герой Советского Союза, генерал армии Валентин Иванович Варенников (15.11.1923 – 06.05.2009).
Добровольцы от ФБСР существенно сократили или даже исключили частичный призыв на СВО в регионах нашей страны, что стало результатом комплексной и не имеющей равных в мире системы подготовки молодёжи к службе в армии и спецподразделениях, верных и сильных защитников Отечества, начиная с раннего возраста.

Modern Self-Defense and Combat System – The Sambo System
Combat Sambo is a Russian system of sports and spiritual education with a thousand-year history. It is a school of the combat art and the most effective form of training for military and law enforcement activities. Combat Sambo is the worldwide recognized sport that combines the best achievements of our multinational and world cultures in the field of martial arts.
Like a Russian Matryoshka doll, the self-defense and combat system consists of several components: the special section (Suvorov science of victory—our main treasure!) accounts for about 60% of the total technical actions of A.A. Kharlampiev's system; Combat Sambo (including the "wrestling" section) comprises 40%; and Sambo wrestling makes up 8%.
The Federation of Combat Sambo of Russia (RCSF), in the context of fierce competition, has preserved and developed Combat Sambo as a national martial art (Suvorov science of victory) and a popular sport since the beginning of Perestroika (1985). This was a response to the threat to national identity and sovereignty, achieved by creating clubs and schools of Combat Sambo. Athletes from the FBSR, such as Oleg Taktarov, Fedor Emelianenko, Alexey Oleinik, Islam Makhachev, and Khabib Nurmagomedov, confidently win prestigious combats. Over the years, we realize that Combat Sambo is a sport that resonates with the spirit, philosophy, and ideology of the majority of Russians.
Rules for competitions have been established, and a scientific and methodological foundation has been developed: 18 books with a total circulation of over 2.5 million copies have been published in many languages. The most popular are "Combat Sambo for Everyone" (1991) and the "Encyclopedia of Combat Sambo" (1993). Fourteen instructional and sixty-nine informational films have been produced. Enthusiasts have opened thousands of Combat Sambo clubs, which have become centers of Russian culture in most countries around the world. The World Combat Sambo Federation (WCSF) holds over 10,000 competitions annually. The 30th World Championship concluded on December 22, 2024.

Our scholars and methodologists, in close collaboration with the faculty of higher educational institutions of law enforcement agencies and the scientific elite of physical education universities, have developed and successfully implemented training methodologies for special forces fighters, border guards, police officers, cash-in-transit personnel, bodyguards, and other non-government security personnel. These methodologies are based on the personal combat experience of specialists. An invaluable contribution to the development of Combat Sambo was made by the Honorary President of the FBSR, Hero of the Soviet Union, Army General Valentin Ivanovich Varennikov (November 15, 1923 – May 6, 2009).
Volunteers from the RCSF have significantly reduced or even eliminated the partial conscription for the special military operation in regions of our country. This has been the result of a comprehensive and unique system for preparing youth for service in the army and special units, forming loyal and strong defenders of the Fatherland from an early age.
